Solve using the options. Try an find -ve Y for a -ve X. Only option C doesn't provide that. Hence C

BOTH X AND Y INTERCEPT NEGATIVE MEANS SLOPE SHOULD BE POSITIVE.ARRANGE EQUATION IN Y=MX+C FORM AND YOU WILL SEE ONLY C GIVES NEGATIVE SLOPE

Hi Rollroll
Correct me if i'm wrong, there's still a case which x and y intercept negative and slope is ALSO NEGATIVE. Try y=-3/5x - 2/5.

Which of the following lines do not contain coordinate points that are both negative?

A. y = x + 2
B. 3y = 4x - 2
C. x + y = 2
D. 3y - 4x = 2
E. x - y = 2

We see that if both values of x and y in the equation x + y = 2 are negative, the sum can never be 2. Therefore, x + y = 2 can’t contain coordinate points that are both negative.
