A) eliminate because we are only interested in cases where the ban has been successfully enforced
B) irrelevant because we are only interested in tigers not other endangered animals
C) irrelevant because hunters are still a big enough threat to place tigers in danger of going extinct
D) The passage is not comparing past efforts to current efforts so we don't need this information to prove or disprove the argument
E) correct! getting rid of of hunting guarantees the survival of tigers- this assumes that hunting is the only threat that tigers face that could lead to extinction.

Option E says " The argument takes the removal of an impediment to the tigers' survival as a guarantee of their survival".

" impediment to the tigers' survival " - " tiger hunting "

The argument says that the removal of tiger-hunting will ensure tigers' survival.

Option E is the answer.

B : Irrelevant - to think about other endangered animal species is irrelevant in this context .
C: Out of Scope - whether tiger hunters are successful - is not in scope of this argument .
D : Out of Scope - Governmental attempts are not in scope

A & E are the contenders .

A won't be the answer for the mentioned statement - " if these countries can successfully enforce this legislation... " i.e author is concerned over the impact after it has been implemented so don't need to think it as otherwise ,

E is the OA

The correct answer as below:

(A) assumes without sufficient warrant that a ban on tiger hunting could be successfully enforced --- Repeat the information mentioned already in the argument!

(B) considers the effects of hunting on tigers without also considering the effects of hunting on other endangered animal species -- Irrelevant!

(C) fails to take into account how often tiger hunters are unsuccessful in their attempts to kill tigers -- So, if they unsuccessful, what would effect the plan?

(D) neglects to consider the results of governmental attempts in the past to limit tiger hunting -- Irrelevant

(E) takes the removal of an impediment to the tigers' survival as a guarantee of their survival -- Correct choice.
