Accepted from INSEAD, go or no go

First of all, congratulations about INSEAD.

From my discussions with alumni, it was a widely accepted notion that given the program's duration, it becomes extremely critical for the applicant to have a strong foothold in the target industry since 2 year programs provide greater flexibilty for a horizontal career boost.

Have you been accepted for the Jan batch ? If that's the case, you may have better chances given prospects of internship but to secure it in the desired industry one needs to generally prepare the internship resume even before the class starts. INSEAD placement agency helps on that aspect (about which i got mixed reviews).

Given these things are met, INSEAD will be great boost to the carrier's vertical trajectory.

With the exception of Consultancy, making the most out of INSEAD with less experience in the target industry does make things a bit trickier. Also, for Finance & PE in particular, LBS seemed to be a preferred choice for alums from both schools. Did you apply there ?

About the age bit, the schools do not have any preference to target a particular demography (as long as the applicant is able to justify why she/he needs MBA). Average age of schools depicts more of who is applying rather than who is getting accepted. I am 30+ and got accepted to a top program.
