Greg,

Thank you for responding to my post!
To answer your questions the part-time at the Commonwealth is after graduation and is 29 hours a week. The side work is home services (lawncare, moving, and odd jobs) and has been intermittent. It’s small (less than 10 people involved) and revenue is only about 10 thousand a month. My role has been coordinating services: contacting and corresponding with clients, handling payment, customer service, and making sure resources and workers needed for a job are there. I misspoke earlier when I said I’ve been doing the side work for 14 months it has been 20 months. The side work and Commonwealth have been concurrent. Unfortunately, most of my time has been in those two endeavors and there is not much extracurricular activities of note. Taking a look at my transcript the most glaring mark is Calculus (D). There are C+’s in MacroEcon and Financial Accounting, a B- in Managerial Accounting, and B’s in MicroEcon, BuisStats, Finance, and Operations Management. The two other B School course grades were: B in Organizational Behavior and A in Marketing.

I am confident in my ability and I believe that what was missing for most of my academic career was a lack of purpose. Now that I’ve found and defined my goals in life I truly believe I would excel at a competitive school, the problem is I find myself doubting whether a competitive school would see the potential. I am determined to finish my MBA before I turn 30 so there are time constraints for improving my profile. I have options for an evening program that I know for a fact I would get into, be paid for and would be a good enough opportunity but I have a strong desire to attend Kenan-Flagler. In your professional opinion do you think I should risk wasting time trying to build my profile for UNC?
