Hello guys I have the Manhattan GMAT strategy guide set.All of them from 0-9.
Someone suggested that I should also get 1.Manhattan Foundation for GMAT quant,
2.Manhattan all the quants
3.Manhattan advance quant

i have gone through a pdf of Manhattan all the quants found out it has lots of content covered in the GMAT strategy guide set.
Can you guys tell me do I need to buy the no 1 & 2 books fron this list?Or I need to only buy the no 3?

I don’t think you need to buy #2 all the quant is same as 0-9. I have both 1 and 2 as well as 0-9 guides.

For #1 I don’t believe there is anything in there that will help you a whole lot over the 0-9 guides so for weaker topics I would say you will need to supplement it with other material

For 3 I have not used it so I cannot speak to the efficacy of the material for your prep, people have suggested if you are targeting a really high score you should use #3

Different additions structure the content differently. The latest addition from a few years ago has only three books and the earlier additions had nine or something like that.

The foundations book goes and starts with more basic things that are covered in the Manhattan guides. It starts with basic fractions and other things going almost back to the fourth grade. If you’re really rusty it’s not a bad book to use. But it’s not a part of the usual curriculum recommended for everyone.

Re: Quant Question of the Day Chat [#permalink]
Hello Guys,
I need a suggestion for a problem that i have encountered. I have been targetting quant topics via forum quiz level wise to improve my accuracy level wise that way I am able to track to my progress in a better way.

I follow this method by filtering official questions only at the start of the quiz. Now the problem is that I have done 30 questions for Algebra( Level 500-600) but I think I need a bit more accuracy to progress further. On starting a new forum quiz with these filters I found out that I do not have any unattempted official questions with this level for Algebra which I understand is a very plausible case.

Now I need a good enough substitute in the filter to hone my algebra for this level. I am attaching the options available. It would be very helpful if someone can suggest the best substitute that I can go ahead with. I am attaching the options for reference.

Use GMATPREP questions, GMAT paper tests.

Don’t use GMAT prep (focus)

Re: Quant Question of the Day Chat [#permalink]
Hello,

I’ve taken my first attempt of the GMAT Focus edition and scored a 595 (V81, Q80, DI72). My target score is 695+ and I’m trying to restart scheduled study after a gap of 2 months (took the first attempt in Feb). I’m planning to take my next attempt by May end and can give 6-7 hours each day for dedicated prep.

Are there any affordable crash courses available that can provide a complete refresher and subsequently, aid in score improvement? All three areas for me are fairly mediocre and I am having struggle mostly in medium-high difficulty level questions. I saw a 2-month plan by Experts Global, so any reviews on that?

Also, any reviews on GregMat for GMAT Focus prep? I like their PrepSwift software for GRE but not sure how useful it will be for the GMAT Focus version. Any leads appreciated!

Hi, I found this question and it’s framed in a way that’s not convincing I feel. if-x-is-a-positive-integer-is-the-gcd-of-x-3-and-x-260563.html#p3365377 . statement 1 says 3x is the common factor of 12. I infer that 3x = 6 because it is THE common factor between 12 and 6. However, in the OE, they say 3x can be 3. that changes everything. Please help clarifying as this understanding can cost me.

the OE changes ’the’ to ’one of the ’.

Probably since there cannot be any number which is THE common factor between two numbers, what I inferred is wrong.
