Be cautious of SC 1000 Series though :)

Yeah I thought the SC1000 and CR1000's were frowned upon as not completely accurate or legal?

I don't know but I've been told that the 1000 series consists of copyrighted questions :P

I've seen some topics in this forum being locked because of the reason :)

Some of the moderators would shed some light in this area!

Entwistle, I understand your point.
But I need to set into the prep. I liked SC most as it can get you started + I hugely need to stretch long for stamina purposes.
I am extremely rusty now. Need to add fuel and I thought only SC1000 can do that.
I prepared comprehensive notes on SC1000 last time. So, I am not running around that much this time on forums for answers.
I fully agree that there are debatable questions, but the question list is impressively comprehensive and covers almost all the topics in GMAT SC.

Wishbone, It is my last score, that I frown right now. Accuracy is definitely a concern, but it is not greater than 2-3%. Moreover, such debates clear your fundas, if you go slow.
If you are going recklessly in just finishing it without reviewing the questions, then I guess it would be a waste with OG as well.

I would obviously refrain from such discussions. But, can you let me know of any links to locked topics due to copyright issues?

@Josh,
Well you can use the 1000SC series if you want but make sure that you don't just keep on practising without analyzing the questions well. I think one of the mistakes what people do in SC(and even I was a victim of this when I prepared for the first time) is that we practising too much without understanding the explanations . That is ,as others who have done well on the GMAT will also concur, is a bad strategy. You should be reading the explanations diligently and should make sure that you read the explanation NOT only when you get a question wrong but also when you get a question CORRECT. Each question should give a takeaway which you should be able to apply in future.

First Target --> Finish last 500 questions of SC 1000 with full reviews.
900 - 950 completed with 62% accuracy.
Gosh, It is an eye opener. But, that is how you rise. Faced concentration issues. Will focus a lot on Review with Manhattan SC.

850-900 completed with 76% accuracy. Hitting lots of new concepts.
Need to do analysis in more details.
One must read TPR SC once in conjunction with MGMAT SC. It opens up many doubts, which can be corroborated from internet side by side.

Hey joshnsit, I think finishing 1000 document is a feat. I'd suggest to keep note of each and every incorrect question and what you learnt from each question.
If possible, keep log of all incorrectly answered question and those for which you took longer than 2 mins.
Why am I suggesting this? I'm facing a situation in which I'm finding hard to decide what to review. So, please spend extra time now by keeping a log to save time and frustration later.

I am done with first level review and log for the SC 1000 questions. But, I understand where you are coming from. We repeat our mistakes.... and that is what I would be looking for "Where is that happening". Doing too many questions has just one intent. I am a marathoner and the purpose behind doing so many questions is building Stamina.. I feel OK but not good. I will not stop hitting SC 1000 till I cross 90% accuracy because I feel ,then only, I can be certain of executing them faster in actual exam. I will come back to them once my CR first level is done.

I have prepared one document of SC1000 which has explanations for almost every question from not only the standard material like grammar books and GMAT notes, but also various forums, so that I dont have to run around for explanations while error reviewing at any later stage.

I am not sure how I will achieve this with CR. So, I am quite flustered with CR and RC. Any comments on that.. What is the best you have got your hands on for CR and RC?

BTW, rg1, BOL for 27th

Thanks joshnsit.
I don't have command over RC and CR and am still struggling. You can see my scores vary a lot. One day I'll have 8 RC questions incorrect and on another day only 2. The story is same for CR.
I think you should visit this section. I think you can get pretty much every strategy/material on this thread.
