Yes, The thing is that state government will count your income as well while issuing the EWS certificate. EWS certificate is valid for 1 year. You have to get it issued for the year 23-24 (to apply under EWS category for ’24 intake) which will include your income as well, despite the fact that you will no longer be an earning member in 24-25 if you are at a B-school. I know it doesn’t make any sense but it is how it is.

2025 intake
For the 2025 intake, you have a lot of time. You can take the GMAT Focus edition but I am not sure how the IIM’s are going to treat it.
