IIMB mentioned reservation as per rules - means whatever happens - 50% will be reserved, IIMA IIMC IIMI doesn’t have reservations but all other IIM has 50% seats reserved - this is what I found after 2 days’search
IIMB (EPGP) didn't have any reservations till 2019. It was introduced the next year onwards. However, the avg GMAT and batch profile since around 2017 (past 5-6 years) has been similar. Thus, the introduction of "reservations" - be it 50% seats or some profile points - hasn't really disturbed that mix or reduced the intake quality, which is the key adverse impact we see in most other places including IIM PGP courses. As long as the selected applicants are deserving and at par, we shouldn't worry too much about it. Nor should anyone from reserved classes believe that their birth would be the primary driver for getting a seat, as there are strong contenders across classes for the 1-year courses. They look at diversity across education, gender, industries, roles, etc anyway.
From what I know, IIML (IPMX) form asks for category only for statistical purposes. They don't have reservations.
