When n=5 we have 3^5 = 243
1/243=0.00411 which is less than 0.01

(A) 2
(B) 3
(C) 4
(D) 5
(E) 6

1/3^n = 1/100

for n=4 1/3^n will be 1/81
for n=5 it will be 1/243
Least value of n will be 5 for which equation holds

\(\frac{1}{3^n} < 0.01\)
\(\frac{1}{3^n} < \frac{1}{100}\)
Since both \(3^n\) and 100 are positive, we can cross multiply.

\(100<3^n........3^4=81 \ \ \ and \ \ \ 3^5=243\)
\(3^4<100<3^5\)

Least value is 5.
