I am having a real scare of not getting anywhere. With Duke and Tepper dings, chances of getting into Ross and Cornell are bleak.

Not sure what I am missing.. Just utterly confused. I never thought that I would see this time. Well... can't help.

I was thinking of applying to Kellogg, but now I need to rethink my decision. What are your plans rgajare14?

You read my mind there..I am having the same thoughts after Duke and Tepper dings. I will know about Tuck in the next 20 mins and I know that it is a ding.

I have applied to Kenan Flagler. But seriously, I am having many doubts now. I don't what went wrong with my apps. :(

Guys on waitlist don't give u hope. I will relinquish my Tepper seat as just couldn't afford to pay 120K and with this economy and my convoluted Visa conditions its better for me to be back to my home country.

BTW I dint get any scholarship. Don't know why?

Got wait listed here. After got dinged by Duke yesterday, this does not really come as a shock. Now since Darden's announcement is miles away, I can really concentrate on my next essay :)

Part-time CMU anyone? Accepted today pt Tepper, almost cried with happiness when I saw the acceptance card animation! I agree with you guys tho with expenses so high for the school I felt the need to work/go pt to mitigate the overall loans... Still waiting for USC.PM if I dont get in off to pittsburgh to find a new job before august 1 :-D ... Anyone thinking about going to the welcome weekend in april?

I applied yesterday to Tepper R2. Now waiting for the interview invitation, anyone knows when can they send it?

Do you also think that Tepper is underrated in the Rankings?

Congrats to all who got in.
I was dinged at CMU and just trying to explore what went wrong with my app.

exp - 6+
profile - all entrepreneurial (only positive)
ugrad - Indian engg, avg
EC - avg
GMAT 700

any guesses what wd have played the biggest role in the ding. Given my exp and profile, I thought ugrad shdnt matter too much. Cd gmat have mattered?

btw, because CMU is known for its tech orientation, I didn't take great pains to talk to adcom, alumni or a current student to gather further info abt the school (which I could of course blabber in the essays). I hope this didnt offend the ad com.

I have a friend who applied to CMU as well...

Decent interview
3 yrs work ex
avg gpa 3.0 (upward trend, additional transcript)
good EC
720 GMAT 47Q 41V
he was waitlisted... he took it really hard it; pretty much ruined his holidays.

but i have been told the applicant pool has been EXTREMELY competitive this year for example lets go back a few years
100 ppl get on the waitlist 40 get in
last year 200+ ppl on the waitlist 15 got in!!!
I can only imagine how this year will be...

I can only say good luck to those that apply. I believe Tepper is seriously underrated...
