Calling all Broad (Michigan) MBA Applicants:(2018 Intake)Class of 2020

Registered for the admit weekend. MIT decisions come out that same week, so if I get an interview there that should be interesting :p

Hi all,

I just finished my interview with the associate director of Broad.
From the forum, I thought the questions would be really generic.. But my questions were slightly more creative than what I expected.

The interviewer was friendly and conversational. Lots of laughs. The Q&A time lasted only 15 minutes then we just chatted for 10 extra minutes.

The question did start with typical questions such as why MBA, why Board etc. She also asked me several questions about my application (She had my application on her laptop; it was not a blind interview? ?). Then she asked me about my mentor, communication style, any recent stories, about a company I like.. There were some more questions that I don't recall.

She asked me more questions than I expected (not to mention she said that she actually asked me extra question than usual -- not sure if it's a good sign.) but I think my answers were too short to last more than 15 minutes.

One tip is please prepare good questions to adcom. She didn't write down any of my answers but she did type in all three questions I asked her.

I hope this helps any future applicants though I think for some reason this year's thread is kind of dead...haha

Has anyone who applied by the January 7th deadline received a decision?

According to Adcom, they sent an early decision email for a few outstanding students who had the interview in January.
I did mine in Feb, and they said they are not likely to send out early decisions for Feb interviewees because one of the adcom members is absent for a week, and the decision date is pretty close anyway.
When did you have your interview?

I interviewed in late January. I know I'm not exceptional haha XD

Admitted! I applied by the January 7th deadline and received the admission letter last week.

For those who have been admitted, does anyone know where I can find out if I am eligible for scholarships?

I received the decision via email.

I interviewed late January and I am NOT exceptional either. I have not yet received a decision. Fingers crossed for this week, though! (Looks like deadline is Friday March 9)

Seems like Broad started sending out the decision letter for R2 applicants.
I got an admit email about 20 minutes ago.
