Anyone get a result? I'm pretty surprised there's only two accepted in the first(early) round

Admit as well, packaging engineering background, low gpa (2.7) combined between 2 schools, 690 GMAT, domestic applicant. MSU Alum with an enlisted military background. Will be accepting after reviewing the admissions packet from Beth. Paul said that Broad would be facilitating some networking opportunities for admitted candidates after the first or second round admissions. Looking forward to meeting other 2020 candidates. I'm in Chicago if anyone is in the area and would like to connect!

Awesome. I'm in the Boston area but I'm sure they'll be plenty of opportunities over the next year to meet students

Hi cxa, I would like to know how your references were contacted by Broad. By mail or by phone?

I should also add that I'm domestic. I don't know if they'll call internationals or not

I'd say that almost all (but maybe not all, you never know) Interview invites should have been released by now, but acceptance decisions won't be released until the decision deadline.
Everyone in the early round got their final decision the day prior or the day off as far as I can tell

Hi all, I had my interview with Paul that lasted only 10 mins. Does that mean I messed up the interview?

Not necessary, he would have judged that you are good within that 10 min.
Btw, what were the questions asked?

Thank you for your reply. The questions were quite basic - which concentration and why, how I addressed conflict in the team, companies where I would like to work, colleague I enjoyed working with and why.

Pretty normal. Not sure how you completed within 10 min? Was he in a hurry or something?
May be cxa0897 will share some thoughts.

Mine were similarly basic questions, the only "twist" I had was something involving a current business development I was following which was simple enough. 10-15 minutes seems about right, I'd say close to half of the 25 minutes I spent with Paul were chatting about supply chain, rather than answering questions.

It was definitely the easiest interview of the 3 I've done so far. Mine was done prior to submitting my application while at an info session so I may be a little different, but I think they get a lot out of the powerpoint slide and video questions and don't need a whole lot more from the interview. (not just at MSU, videos have become pretty prevalent across schools) This makes the official interview more of just a formality in my opinion, since you've already recorded responses to several interview questions in the application.

Thanks a lot cxa0897. That's really reassuring.

Now, fingers crossed for the results.

yeah you have a point there, they get a lot from the two essays, but i remember Paul said several times that they do blind interviews (= they don't read applications before interviewing). if that's the case then i doubt that the essay content has anything to do with how the interview goes. (but who knows, really)

btw, could you share how was the tone of the interview? i know they said it is relaxed and conversational, but was Paul/they smiley friendly joky or did they keep a professional poker face all through the interview?

Paul had my resume when I interviewed, but not the app as I hadn't submitted anything at that point. If that is consistent across the board there could be some merit to your point about being blind.
