Hi,

In the application under the Test Scores tab, I can see the score for only my first GMAT (with a 'Verified' status) that I took last year in July. The score from the GMAT that I took in April this year is not reflected in the online application even though I had sent it again in my second GMAT attempt.
Can anyone advise on how to proceed under this situation? Is anyone else also facing a similar thing?

Thanks

Applying R1. I was really impressed with Emory when I visited last year. Everyone was very friendly and there probably isn't a better business city in the country than Atlanta.

Hi adityag27 ,

Round 3 is a strict no for international applicants because it doesn't leave enough time for Visa processing and other stuffs.

It's always preferable to apply in R1 or R2 ( maybe early decision round if a school has any)

Thanks for answering the query. Is it the logistics that is an issue or is it the chances are also bleak?

So, here are a couple of things:

1. If you look at every school's website, it is clearly mentioned "international applicants are advised not to apply in Round 3"

2. Most of the seats are filled by Round 2. So, rarely you will see a seat left and if anything is left, they prefer to take local student.

I would prefer to wait for an year and not to waste a chance.

Good luck :)

Please review the link below. Emory allows round 3 for international for both MBA programs with different decision dates for each program (1-year or 2-year MBA).

So I've got a couple of questions I can't find answers to on the internet.

1) Has anyone heard if Emory gives waivers to international candidates? Maybe GMAT-based or something on those lines?
2) How's the consulting (esp MBB) recruitment at the school?

1- I have not seen fee waiver. In some schools, if current student refers you, you may get fee waiver. Others apply it when you attend a webinar. You may ask the adcom directly but I do not recommend.

2- I know that almost above 30% goes into consulting. MBB is part of their recruiters in southeast region (Atlanta offices). Here is the linkk of 2016.

Thank you for replying.

For (1), maybe KF's example would hold good. I have heard they routinely give GMAT based waivers.

For (2), I did already check out the report. But I was wondering if someone had ballpark numbers for each of the three firms. Anyway, I'll get in touch with a student.

For 2) I recommend you take a short cut and contact the career service. They almost nice and can help you. I doubt that student know about stats.

I did some own research and found a P&Q article which lists Emory's alumni at MBB at 61 (for reference HBS has 1223, Kellogg 800, Duke 181 and KF 77). I am assuming these numbers are active MBB employees. I maybe getting ahead of myself but assuming a 6 year stint before "exit opportunities", this would mean about 10 folks a year combined. Adjusting this for recency, I would guess a number of 15/year. In a batch of 172, this is ~9%.

But all my assumptions could be wrong so I'd contact 'em.

My other question was around scholarships. I know the overall numbers from the internet, but how generous or miserly is the school, esp for international candidates? Also, what factors does the school usually 'reward'?

Application question for you all.

On Emory's "Additional Information" tab, it asks "What other school(s) are you applying to?"

I'd prefer not to answer. At the end of the application, when you click "review", if you did NOT answer the above question, it doesn't get flagged as incomplete. So it appears you can submit without answering this particular question.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how adcom might take it if you didn't answer this question?
