Hi
ammarejaz786,
Thank you for your post and for sharing your profile. Aside from GMAT score (which shows significant improvement, which will not go unnoticed), you have a solid profile. I do recommend you retake the GMAT, however. Applying to 4 schools in a month, retaking the GMAT, and working F-T is a lot to handle (there are only 24hrs in a day). Regardless of your next GMAT score, I recommend you start working on your applications immediately and be strategic about how you approach each application. A multiple attempt GMAT shows persistence; taking that into account with a strong qualitative component of the application material will make you far more competitive than someone with a top GMAT score and mediocre material.

Hi,
Requesting profile evaluation.
29 Year old Pakistani Male.
Educational Background:
Bsc (Hons) International Business from Brunel University, London. 3.7GPA
GMAT Latest: 700 (Q44,V42)
Previous Attempts: 680 (Q47,V35)
640 (Q41,V37)
Working Background:
-Post Degree worked in Retail Banking as a Relationship manager for Barclays Bank in Pakistan (One Year)
-Left in order to start up my own retail apparel brand with my brother as my partner. I have been working in my company for 5 years, my roles include product design, supply chain management, marketing and brand management. Over the last 5 years we have grown this business from the ground up to a point where we currently operate 7 distinct retail outlets, have annual revenues of 750,000 USD and employ over 50 people. Our brand maintains a significant presence on various social media platforms and we have just started up an e-commerce portal as well.
In Addition:
- Long term contributor at the Centre for Sustainability Research and Practice, a youth led independent think-tank that works towards sustainable policy development recommendations, advising various state institutions and government departments. Involved in the organisation and implementation of multiply advocacy events including the 2nd South Asian Youth Conference in Islamabad and the 1st International Youth Summit in Lahore.
- Took part in a three week volunteer placement at the National Disaster Management Authority during the catastrophic floods in Pakistan in 2010.
My first choice MBA programs include Cornell- Johnson, CMU- Tepper, Duke- Fuqua, Texas- McCombs.
While my GMAT score falls close to the average class intake scores of these MBA programs, my biggest concern is my low quant score. My practice tests before my latest attempt reflected and led me to expect a quant score of 47-48 and a Verbal score of 41-42. I feel that I really messed up the quant section. I still believe that I can get a much better score if I take the test again. I would prefer to apply by the first deadline for all these programs which fall mostly around the 1st week of October. I am accounting for 1 month as the time it would take me to write out application essays.
Any advise and help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
