str1der, I saw that as well. I think they're excluding LGO candidates (~50) in that figure. Even so, typically they have ~350 seats available (source:
https://mitsloan.mit.edu/mba/admissions/ ... -and-chat/). They overenrolled the Class of 2014 by 9 people, so it appears as if the other 17 seats are reserved for deferrals from last year.
Looks like my prior analysis (
sloan-2013-mit-calling-all-applicants-134969-40.html#p1130114) wasn't too far off :D. Unfortunately, it did not help me gain admission to Sloan, haha. Given the new information, it feels like the acceptance rate will drop from 14.4% for the Class of 2014 to 13.1% for the Class of 2015--that's a substantial dip...
