Yup - I'm from India (Mumbai) as well .. I'm usually pretty optimistic but these MBA applications have made me a pessimist ... I think the Indian quote in this round is full (unqualified guess based on the slots post last week) .. good luck to the guys and gals interviewing on the 11th and 12th ...

Ladies and Gentlemen

I was using in a very aproprite way my time at work and I started to check the MIT chats from the previous years and I saw a very interesting pattern.

In 2010 and 2011 ( I didn't see 2012 ) , it happened exactly the same : The school has disapeared for a period and them showed up again close to the DING DATE which for us is November 15 . The interesting fact is when the school showed up again there were not just DING but lots of new interview invitations and also some candidates bein re-alloccated to R2.

Nothing like a day after another day!! The HOPE is back!!

The school has presented the same method in both years and it will probably keep in the same path!!!

I've heard this same pattern anecdotally from friends of mine who got interviews from Sloan over the past few years....i.e.., getting interview invitations seemingly late in the process.

Based on the previous years .....On Nov 15 we will face lots of DINGS but some Interview invitations and candidates deferred to R2.

This situation happened in 2010 and 2011 .

Hi DTOMAS, nice investigation! However, I think this year those late interview would probably come today/tomorrow instead of that close to the 15th. Admissions blog: The Admissions Team will begin sending out Round 1 interview invitations this Friday, October 25th and will continue periodically through Friday, November 8th. If you are not invited for an interview, you will receive a final decision from us by November 15th.

Anyway, I totally agree that there should be a big batch coming.

Good luck to everybody!!

I am not sure waiting for round 2 is logical for Sloan. If a candidate is admitted to a similar school, he can choose this school and leave a deposit.

I have noticed that since Monday (4th Nov), 9 more members have updated the profile updates section on the first page of this thread with the status "Invited to Interview". Now, I am not sure whether those are late updates from last week's invitations or those are indeed invitations sent out this week but members have chosen not to post about it. I would request those who have updated the status in last 3-4 days to post and provide some clarity to other anxious aspirants.

FWIW nobody has reported an invitation on BTG since Sunday.
