I knew I picked the right school. I'm also pretty excited to see Wrigley next spring, I've had a new found appreciate for the Cubs ever since we broke our streak back in '04.

I would just like to go on the record as saying the Red Sox suck. I can't wait for the first time they face the Yankees' new and improved pitching rotation.

Amen to that! Glad to see some more Yankee fans.

Surprise, surprise, "fans" of the big market teams.

GO BREWERS!

Oh, and you're all invited to a game at Miller Park. The tailgating is AWESOME, and it's almost as close as Wrigley, but without the snobbery...

The Sox and Cubs, sure. But who are these "Brewers" you refer to? :)

I don't care for any particular team...I'm just anti-Red Sox and Yankees.

I'll root for the Pirates and Royals.

As a born and raised Masshole I can tell you that Boston is a fantastic sports town, and obviously that shows in the revenue stream. The sox were also doing pretty well for themselves before they started winning and folks jumped on the bandwagon.

I think most people will agree that money in baseball is a touchy issue, but I'd be surprised if I was the only sox fan who was at least somewhat inspired by the dirt poor Rays last year, even if they did knock us out. In any case, I'm looking forward to 'slumming it' at Miller Park, the beer's gotta be cheaper than it is at Fenway!

Masshole - lol. Love it!

Hey, no disrespect to you! If you got it, flaunt it. I only have a problem with people who aren't "born-and-raised" and just became "fans" in the last few years.

Actually, I hardly have a problem with them anymore. Six years abroad will do that to your sports passions...

Same here, and not just because the Rays were playing the Sox. Even though the Yankees have certainly been the beneficiary of being able to offer ridiculously expensive contracts, I'd be in favor of stricter controls on spending than the current luxury tax.

Chicago is a pretty cool sports city so I'm looking forward to seeing some games out there.

Definitely - love passionate sport fans, and Chicago has a lot of them. I'll be insufferable when the Packers play the Bears though...

So who is coming to DAK 2...we are going to try to get a dinner together for GC people before you meet up with your sections on Thusrday night. Figure we can meet up around 6, then sit down for food around 7ish. If you are up for it try to take flights that get in with time to spare. I can try to get some of the GC alums and if any of you are bringing significant others I can probably get some JVs there for them to chat with.

So who is coming to DAK 2, whose bringing someone with them, and whose up for a thursday dinner???
