congratulations on the awesome score and thank you for the thorough review! I'm impressed by the organized and disciplined approach you took. I guess I couldn't have waited almost 2 months for the first practice test. Given the result of this first practice exam, it is hard to believe you actually had to struggle with Quant, however you had practiced a lot before. Very nice!

Thanks MSoS!

Not sure on schools yet. Some combination of top 10 schools in the U.S. I probably should start thinking about visiting some of these schools this spring...

Btw, it is interesting how the GMAT dominated my free time for 3 months, but now, as soon as its over, thinking about visiting schools, starting applications, connecting with recommenders, etc., all just fill the space voided by the GMAT! This b-school process seems like it'll never end!

I think that is exactly what it should be. GMAT first, (TOEFL after), picking schools, visiting school, start to get application in order (recommendations, essays, etc.) and finally apply for the first few Business Schools.

GMAT dominates my time schedule at all. Besides my project, i only think about GMAT here and GMAT there. At least i have a goal and do know what i want (even though 700+ is more a dream than a realistic goal for me).

I wish i score high on the GMAT, but even if so i do not have the time or money to visit schools this spring/summer. I must trust the information i get about the schools. :)

Finishing the Quant section on time was difficult for me, so I used the GMAT Club tests to build an “internal clock” that told me when I was at the 90 second mark (give or take) on a given question. I forced myself to decide whether I could solve the question in the next 30-60 seconds, or if I needed to move on. Developing this strategy was key for me on the actual exam, as it allowed me to feel comfortable making an educated guess on questions I knew I wasn’t close to solving at the 90 second mark.

First of all....a big congratulation! thats a really great score..
2nd...I found the above quoted strategy something worth trying....I have exactly 45 days left for my test and I am struggling with timing in quant with as much as 8 questions remaining in CATs  ! i will try this strategy now...Thanks!

Wow, CONGRATS!!! You must feel so amazing right now. :)

I really identified with your studying strategy, so hopefully my score is in the same range as yours. Like you, I have been focusing 80% + on quant, as my verbal has been pretty solid from the start. Same materials, same (approximate) amount of time per week with the materials...

Thanks for the awesome debrief and for giving me a last-minute confidence boost! (3 weeks til test day)
