Hello Gmatclub,
My first post here. I really appreciate the time taken by the members here to answer queries. To be honest, I have a mixed feeling while writing my applications and selecting schools.
I scored 520 in GMAT
AWA - Awaited
I am looking at a finance related MBA course - Finance, Corporate Finance, Markets
I have a Computer Science degree 70%.
No of years of experience when I intend to join an MBA program in 2018 - 6+ yrs
6+ years in a software engineer role in a L&T Infotech, Atos andIBM.
Besides this , since last 2 yrs i have been teaching and helping people in SAP my core profile.
I am also planning to write GMAT again while preparing for R2 applications as I feel i could have scored more than this.
Based on all this, does this strategy and goals make sense?
Thanks for anyone who responds in advance.
Sorry for not sugar coating the response but 520 is way too low. You should target a score of atleast a 650 since you are from the overrepresented category : Indian IT Male.
In case verbal is your problem, you might consider taking up
egmat verbal course. It has helped several non native speakers to get atleast a 35 in verbal.
If you are unable to improve your score in GMAT, you might also try giving a GRE mock test and see your score. Most schools accept the GRE and its easier to improve in GRE than in GMAT.
