(2) Vivica's rate of words per minute was constant for the duration of the document.

Statement 1: we have no information regarding the rate at which the remaining $$\frac{1}{4}$$ document is typed. Hence Insufficient

Statement 2: we know the rate is same through the job but the value of rate and the word quantity is not given. Insufficient

Combining 1 & 2: we know the rate is constant, so if $$\frac{3}{4}$$ words are typed in $$42$$ minutes

then whole i.e $$1$$ will be typed in $$\frac{42*4}{3}$$ minutes. Sufficient

The document is actually 5040 words.

90 wpm x 42 minutes = 3780 words typed in 42 minutes

3780 words represents 3/4 of the work

3/4(x) = 3780

(3780 x 4)/3

Hi!
The information - 90 wpm is redundant, right?

Hi

Yes, here we can find the answer C without making use of '90 words per minute' data.
