Hello, I am looking for applying in R1/R2 2024 intake. Would love to get my profile briefly evaluated here.
Background and nationality:
31 years, Indian Non-IT Male working in Govt sector
Undergrad information:
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from State University with CGPI 8.65/10.
GMAT:
730 (41 V, 49 Q)
Work experience and leadership:
Total Work experience: 7 years
Currently working as Deputy Collector Class 1 Officer (equivalent to Under Secretary rank in State Government) since 5 years
Brief about this role: Administrative head of sub-divsion in the district, reporting directly to head of district administration. Generalist role entailing to deal with day to day public administration and implementation of government directives and policies. This role is also vested with quasi judicial powers. It comes with shared responsibility of law and order with Police department while performing magisterial functions. Conduct of elections, Disaster Management are some other auxiliary functions attached with this role. Thus, leading a team of various government offices working in respective jurisdiction.

2 years as Assistant Manager in leading Public Sector Bank
Extra curricular activities:
Giving contribution by mentoring students at government school in rural area by adopting one school for a year in respective jurisdiction.

My main concern is about GMAT score and relevance of my work experience in public administration in the context of admission, will that be enough?

You have mentioned the conduct of elections and disaster management as your responsibilities, along with ensuring law and order in the region. Any specific situation which you would like to mention when you went beyond your duties to stand out among your peers?
You have also mentioned your work as an assistant manager at a public sector bank. Try highlighting the shift from banking to administration and what major challenges you faced, and how you overcame them.
Your GMAT score and GPA feels completely fit for LBS. However, they are not the only parameter that LBS looks for in an applicant.
LBS looks for the following qualities in an applicant
1. Leadership potential
2. International outlook
3. Teamworking abilities
4. Fit for LBS
5. Motivation for an MBA broadly and for LBS specifically
6. Whether career goals are achievable
Your ECs seem good and include social work, which is one of the major aspects of the application. AdComs usually look for social activities in an application. However, I think you need more work on your goals part, it should be categorized as short and long-term with a vision and roadmap to achieve them. Also, since you are targeting LBS, you would also need to justify how an MBA from LBS will help you achieve your goals.

I am looking to apply to R1 for the 2024 intake. I would request you evaluate my profile for LBS.
Background and nationality:
29 years, Indian Engineer Male working in Consulting sector. Lived for 15 years in Saudi Arabia (though no work per se).
Undergrad/certification information:
Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani with CGPI 7.33/10.
Completed Product Management course on Upgrade from DUKE CE
GMAT:
700 (Q50,V35) - 4th attempt after score plateau of 650. Can plan to take GRE if that helps.
Work experience and leadership:
Total Work experience: 5.5 years
1) Currently working as Senior Associate in a strategic healthcare consulting firm working with top US pharmaceutical clients (since June 22)
Brief of the role: Lead a team of 2 associates to operationalize the market research studies of top pharma companies for projects worth USD 2+ Mn. Few Initiatives to help the company save/generate USD 1+ Mn. The promotion is due in Sept this year.
Prior work experience:
2) Spent 3 years as a Consultant in an Impact consulting firm dealing with clients— CSR companies, NGOs, Foundations, and Government. Received 3 promotions, one every year.
Brief of the role: Lead a team of 5+ members to execute end-to-end 25+ impact assessment projects across Education, healthcare, livelihood, Water Sanitation and hygiene etc. Led PnL of projects worth USD 15 Mn. Executed data collection exercise across 22+ states of India covering 6000+ stakeholders. Helped the company expands its clientele base. Significant contribution in building team capacity and growing the team size from 7 to 32 members (when I left)
3) Worked as Development Consultant to an Indian Member of Parliament on a 1-year long fellowship program
Brief of the role: Worked on multi-million government and CSR projects to bring development to the constituency. Notable ones such as solving the decade-long arsenic contamination problem, enhancing healthcare delivery services, beautification of lakes, etc
4) 8 months as Senior Analyst at IT consulting firm. Left the firm early because I wanted more functional role and hence transitioned to social sector.
