Chicago (Booth) 2013 - Calling All Applicants

I'd be interested in seeing whether there is a meaningful correlation or not.

I had a subpar R2 on-campus interview, and was subsequently rejected.

Second the above. When I came out of my interview, I thought I did very well even though I fumbled a bit on the 'Why Booth?' question. But with the passage of time, I felt my chances were slim because I thought my essays could have been stronger.
Please remember that your application is a mosaic. Once your interview is over, it is filed with the rest of your application and then the whole set is reviewed again. At that point, the whole 3D picture has to be appealing enough to catch an acceptance.

We interviewed on the same day. Perhaps we met?

I know it won’t help for someone else to reiterate that the interview is just one part of your application, but that’s absolutely true. I’d also say that your personal impression of how the interview went can be inaccurate.

For Booth I felt my interview went so-so and didn't think I made a great impression, but after being admitted I found out that my interviewer thought my interview went very well (wish I'd picked up on that!). For Haas I thought my interview went poorly – I didn’t go down in flames, but there was no connection with the alum and judging by her body language and closing comments, it just didn’t click. I thought I had no chance until I got the phone call, and later I talked with other local admits who happened to have the same interviewer and they had similarly bad impressions of the interview. Sometimes the rest of your app is strong enough to make up for a sub-par interview, and sometimes your interviewer puts up a wall because he/she doesn't want to appear invested or swayed, which can come across as a little cold and disapproving. For CBS my interview went extremely well, and my interviewer responded to my thank you note by telling me he thought I’d be a great fit and that he would definitely recommend me. CBS dinged me.

It’s a bit of a crapshoot, and you’re going to overanalyze and search for patterns because that's what the type of people who apply to b-schools do. But your side of the process is done, so take a deep breath and relax (easier said than done, I know), and good luck!

The silence here, even though decisions come in tomorrow, testament that there is only a handful of people still holding out for booth? Perhaps an admit can enlighten us on the stats (right now) from the student directory for the 2015 admit pool? What's the volume? Maybe one could keep watch and see how it changes tomorrow/thursday.

Also eagerly awaiting word from Booth (hopefully) tomorrow! Dings, as I understand it, come out the day of the deadline, whereas phone calls happen the day before. Can anyone corroborate this?

Guys, isn't the decision notification date supposed to be the 23rd? Is it mentioned somewhere that it will be out tomorrow?
