I seem to remember that someone (Cheetarah, perhaps?) mentioned that though many people got money/scholarships as soon as they got the admission call, other fellowships come down the pipeline later. Does anybody know when that might be? If it's sometime before the deposit deadline, that could help make my decision a bit easier!

Last year it was about 7-10 days prior to the deposit deadline. I found out about my fellowship on the actual deposit day, so there isn't a hard cutoff date that I know of. It might be different this year. If you've already applied to any of the available fellowships (that require an app) you should hear pretty soon.

So...flight from LAX to ORD was just cancelled. We'll see if I make it to admit weekend...

Yeah around 1200 flights at ORD cancelled - weather is pretty bad. 3 of the main freeways in Chicago were / are shut down due to flooding so even getting into / out of the city is a nightmare. It's supposed to be better tonight and tomorrow but I imagine it will take a while for them to catch up on the cascade of cancellations and delays given that a number of flights were cancelled yesterday too.
