Calling all ROSS Applicants - (2015 Intake) Class of 2017

Is it normal for schools to release interview invites a couple weeks after their initial decision deadline? I wonder if this is because they got a lower yield than expected from first round and are thinking that they need to consider more applicants to fill out their class for the year?

I still haven't heard anything from admission committee yet.
Is there still any hope for me or are they done sending out interview invitations?

Does anybody know when admitted students weekend is this year? I can't seem to find info online.

I applied in round 2 and haven't received an interview invite neither have I been denied. Being an international student I was wondering if there is still some hope for an interview invite by round 3 ?

I received a confirmation on January 21st that my application is now ready for review. I sent all the details my Jan 15th.

Can anyone clarify, if "all" the interview invites were sent my Jan 19th, then why would they mail me so late?

I could be wrong but looks like you're applying for R3 instead of R2.

I would move on if I were you: intl student + R3 = really not much chance unless you're really very exceptionally special.

I just had my ross interview yesterday with a 2nd year student via Skype. I thought it might be helpful to others if I share my experience so here we go:
1. walk through your resume (I was cut off because apparently I was giving too much details)
2. significant accomplishments in your career
3. WHY questions
4. Short term/Long term goals (I didn't feel like I had enough time for this part)
5. how to motivate others when you're in a team
6. how to overcome difficulties when working in a team, there is no specification of "difficulties" so I used "resolving conflicts" as an example
7. question period

very traditional interview, very conservational and the interviewer was sharp yet approachable. I didn't feel like I did the best that I could but oh well. Maybe I really love Ross and really want to get in and therefore I was nervous for this one.

I am not a R3 applicant.
Ross had given 10 working days time to send in the recommendations.
I sent in my recommendation on 15th Jan, and ROSS confirmed that it would be for R2.

Sorry I thought you meant you submitted your apps on the 15th.
Well then I dunno, all invites were sent on the 19th of Jan but as you can see above there are still a couple invites received on the 31st of Jan as well.

Just contacted Ross adcom regarding international invites they said" At this time, all interview invitations have been sent. We have not received further information that additional invites will be sent for Round 2. Good luck in the admissions process"

I guess this means 'ding' for those who have not received invite yet..disapponted....!

Quick question about interview best practices. Do you bring (and submit) an updated resume to the interview or should we stick to the original resume we submitted with the application?

I don't think there is anything wrong with bringing an updated resume. This could actually be a launching point for a conversation with the interviewer.

That's very disappointing! I even retook GMAT and got a 760! But it seems to be of little help. So sad right now.

Hi,

I am a Master of Management applicant at Michigan-Ross. I applied on Jan 31 (Round 2 deadline was Feb 2). The process for MM admissions is similar to that of MBA.

Now I got a mail from them today saying that my application is complete and that I will get a decision by the decision notification date.(Although R2 admissions are on rolling basis)

Now, I want to know if everyone here received such a mail before getting the interview invites? If yes, how long after such a mail, did the interview invites were given out?

Any insight on this would be much appreciated.

This email is mere a confirmation of completeness of your application after review by admission office's staff. We all got similar emails.
The interview invites were sent out 2 weeks from the deadline, but am not sure about timeline of MM program.
