On the contrary, it would be quite helpful to those who haven't been invited to interview yet. At least they'll have a clear decision and would be able to make necessary plans (with 2 weeks of advance notice).

I completely agree. Ross has been very forthcoming throughout this entire process, and this is yet another way they're setting themselves apart. Bravo.

I agree that aspirants will have time to prepare applications for other schools, but with months of hardwork for GMAT and then applications, this dreaded mail nobody wants.

But Kudos to Ross, for decreasing the agonizing wait time.

What does Recommendation 1, 2 and 3 mean in the flow chart? Like 3 rounds of internal review?

I think it refers to letters of recommendation. As the application only asked for one, if you are waitlisted, you'll probably be asked to submit a 2nd recommendation, and potentially a third if waitlisted again. Counting down impatiently to March 13th!

Well I did not receive interview invitation and was not asked to provide another recommendation letter...Bad news?

I think it means round of internal review with a different member of the adcom.

are you waitlisted? If not, and you're not R3 you should have hear admit/WL/deny/interview already

In fact I have not heard anything from Ross after submitting the application for R2...

just got this email:
