Calling all Sloan MIT Applicants (2016 Intake) Class of 2018!!

Invited to interview Mexico Nov 9-10

Hi, fellow Midwestern-er! I'm from Chicago - no news yet. I don't see how they would not invite any applicants from Chicago...

My hunch is we're the next batch of US invites - not as many logistics as Ad Com going out to LA or the rest of the world, and we have three weeks of interview slots left until they stop interviewing on 12-4.

Stay optimistic, y'all!!!

Ugh.. that sucks. My numbers are equivalent or better than all of those NY ones. I'm screwed.

It looks like only Southern California is covered so far.

What a stressful process - from the 5 schools I applied to, I have seen one single invite from a San Francisco person across all of them. It looks like the California schools are doing California people last, while the east coast schools are doing local folks first. Going nuts but staying positive!

The competition is stiff w/ these schools. Still hoping for the best, but not super optimistic. I think MIT was my weakest application, which is too bad because I love the school.

Seems nothing from Asia yet? I am from Singapore...

Sloan has about 38% international candidates.
So if we divide the entire `100% into three groups of 33.3% each , then half of US was called on 20th. Rest half of US along with some small international countries yesterday. The last batch of 33.3% should come in about 10 days. The lag time between the interview data and notification seems to be the same.
I am pretty sure they already have a list of people 100% they want to invite, they are just delaying the process so that everyone is on the same page and gets exactly the same time for interview prep.

Looks like people with the fresh invites are invited around 11th Nov? I think the adcom will not be in India to conduct interviews before 15th (15-20th my guess). In that case I expect the interview calls for indians somewhere between 5th -9th Nov, on the assumption that they will give everyone the same time to prepare for interviews!

Is there a post interview invite essay question also which needs to be answered before interview?
