Did I read that right? On the previous comment it says "as laptops are not allowed in class." Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. Laptops are not allowed. However, tablets are. So, most people get the 2-in-1s for easy note taking in class. The ones she has listed are the most popular but, honestly you don't need one. Pen and paper works fine too.

These days there isn't much difference between a laptop and a 2in1.

Could please let us know what the total number of registered students is? By now the dust should have settled a bit.
