Hi, I have completed my interview for 1 year MBA. Now the status is changed from 'Schedule Interview' to 'Under Review'. Does it mean anything in negative? I mean for selected students, is it changed to selected? Can someone who had a similar experience update me please?

Hi everyone, quick intro...my name is Deepanjan, i am based in Pittsburgh, PA. My query is regarding johnson’s 1-year MBA admissions...while i didn’t receive any official communication, I logged on to my account today (it’s been way more than a month - I applied on 01/02) and saw the status was ’Schedule Interview’ without any call to action for me (except a ’View Application’ button). Who is this status for, and what does it mean? Can anyone let me know

That's great. Did you receive it by post? I haven't received any! (except the decision letter, the Re-Vera Background check link, and Declaration of Finance form mail acknowledgement).

I received it by mail .... A card, a muffler and lots of swag  nothing important...

If you are admitted to a 2-year program, go for it. Cornell 1-year is not that much good.

Well, since your location shows 'India', I'm assuming that you will be looking for a potential employer which can file H1 for you. Am I correct?
If this is the case, 2-year will be your best bet as Cornell 1-year guys are still struggling. If not, 1-year program is the right choice.

No, so my case is a little different, I am a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon (2+ years) and have a 2-year MBA from India before this, and 5 years of experience in India, Europe and Malaysia. At one time I thought I was an academician, turns out I am so not. So looking to go back to industry asap.

Also, yeah, I received the email today, will be taking the trip to Ithaca end of this month.

If you want to change career, you may want to join a 2-year program. I dont think 1-year cornell is for you. This wisely, especially is you need H1B.

Hi, I applied in November round and received waitlist decision today. I am an international applicant.

Could you provide insights about my chances of getting admitted from waitlist? And what should I do now?

Thanks!

Well, in my opinion, chances are very good. The reason is that many people are withdrawing their offer from Cornell 1-year.
If you are an international candidate, and you want a work permit in USA, think twice before going for a 1-year program. Even the 2-year guys are struggling at the moment.
