I was interviewed on 19th January. Overall the interview was conversational and friendly. Below are the questions asked:
1. Take me through your resume : Spend around 5 minutes on this.
2. What are your long-term and short-term goals? What is your plan B in case you don't get a job in the United States?
3. Why do you want an MBA?
4. Why Cornell Johnson MBA?
5. Have you looked into the 1 year tech MBA that Cornell offers in New York City? (Was specific to my profile as I belong to technology/product management)
6. What is your leadership style? Explain with an example.
7. Do you have connections within the technology industry (in India and United States)
8. Questions for the interviewer.
The overall interview lasted about 30 minutes. I asked the interviewer some questions - that lasted about 10 minutes.
I would say that the because if the new H1-B policies and the government, the interviewer wanted to assess my goals and whether I have connections within the technology industry that would help me land a gig with relative ease after my MBA.
My only advice : Be genuine. Be yourself.
I'm a Round 2 applicant.
Were you admitted? How much time it takes for Cornell Admissions tea to come back with a decision after interview? It has been a week for me.... no news yet
