Hi,
Congrats..Can you please share who took your interview? Also what concentration you are applying?? Also, would you mind sharing the interview question??
I interviewed with someone from the Real Estate center. I don't know if anyone else here is looking for that same specialization. Here are the general formats to the questions that might come up for anyone...to the best of my recollection:
1) Why an MBA...and why Wisconsin?
2) Where do you want to work upon completion of your MBA?
2) Tell me about how you marketed yourself for your previous jobs. How would you market yourself during recruiting?
3) What are your short term and long term professional goals?
4) Aside from knowledge and industry exposure, what else do you want to gain from the Wisconsin MBA experience?
6) Do you have any questions for me?
We also talked a lot about the classes, industry exposure through the program, regional and national opportunities, and the strength of the alumni network.
EDIT - Looking back, the Wisconsin MBA admissions blog had useful insights in interview preparation and more or less telegraphed the non-industry questions (in an approximate form), so I suggest reading those. Also try to come up with good questions for them. Overall, I'd suggest trying to be calm and just be yourself. The people at Wisconsin are very nice.
