Given: A Drink contain 20% of cranberry juice, 20% raspberry juice and rest is apple juice. 250ml of water is added to 750ml of the juice.
Asked: What is the ratio of water to apple juice in the drink?

In 750 ml:
Apple Juice = (100%-20%-20%)*750 = 60%*750 = 450 ml

250 ml water is added
Ratio of water : apple juice = 250 : 450 = 5:9

A cake weighting 750 gram has three ingredients: flour, sugar and fruits. There is twice as much as flour as sugar and one and a half times as much as sugar as fruits. What is the quantity of sugar(in grams) in the cake?

If there is 1.5 times as much sugar as fruit, then sugar and fruit are in a 1.5 to 1, or 3 to 2, ratio. So if there is twice as much flour as sugar, then the ratio of flour to sugar to fruit is 6 to 3 to 2. So 3/11 of the cake is sugar, and in grams, the answer is (3/11)(750), which doesn't work out cleanly (if this was a real GMAT question, they'd almost always be asking for an approximation here) but since 3*75 = 225, we have

(3/11)(750) = 2250/11 = 2200/11 + 50/11 = 200 + 4 + 6/11 = 204 + 6/11 = 204.5454...
