If three identical machines take t hours to complete a task together, and it takes t+2 hours for two of the machines working together to complete the same task. What is the value of t?

A. 4
B. 5
C. 6
D. 7
E. 9
Total work will remain same....

Thus, \(3t = 2(t+2)\) {Total work = Time * No of machines}

Or, \(3t = 2t + 4\)

Or, \(t = 4\), Answer is (A)

(N1 x T1 / W1) = (N2 x T2 / W2)

Consider work = 1 unit

(3 x t / 1) = (2x(t+2)/1)

t = 4
