If w, x and y are different positive integers, and wxy = 24, is xy divisible by 6?
(1) wy is not divisible by 6 --> if \(w=3\) and \(y=1\) then \(x=8\) and \(xy=8\) so not divisible by 6 but if \(w=1\) and \(y=3\) then \(x=8\) and \(xy=24\) so divisible by 6. Two different answers. Not sufficient.
(2) x is even --> clearly insufficient.
(1)+(2) Example from (1) is still valid. Not sufficient.
Answer: E.
