Area of triangle ABD = 1/2(AD)(BD)
Since AD is perpendicular to BC, then CD=BD=2
Therefore we need to find length AD
Statement 1: h=4
Since angle D is 90 degrees, triangle ADB is a right triangle. We can use the Pythagorean theorem to find AD. Sufficient
Statement 2:Angle ABD = 60°
This means that triangle ABD is a 30-60-90 triangle. We have length BD, therefore we can find length AD. Sufficient
Answer: D
