If P is an integer between 10 and 100, what is the value of P ?

(1) One of P’s digits is 2 more than the other, and the sum of its digits is 8.
(2) P < 50

Given information: 10 < P < 100
To determine: Value of P

(1) One of P’s digits is 2 more than the other, and the sum of its digits is 8.

The only two digit numbers whose sum of digits equals 8 are: 17, 26, 35, 44, 53, 62, 71, 80
Now, only 35 and 53 have one digit as two more than the other
Not a fixed answer

NOT SUFFICIENT

(2) P < 50

P could be any number between 10 and 50

NOT SUFFICIENT

Both statements combined:

P is either 35 or 53 AND P is between 10 and 50, which leaves us with only 35 (Single answer)
