What was the percentage of defective items produced at a factory?

(1) The total number of defective items produced was 1,234.
Defective items = 1,234
We don’t know total number of items.
Insufficient

(2) The ratio of defective items to nondefective items was 32 to 5,678.
Defective items = 32x
Non-defective items = 5,678x
Total items = 32x+5678x= 5710x
Required Percentage = (32x/5710x)*100
Sufficient
