What is the value of x?

x^(1/4) = 9
The average of x^2, 6x and 3 is -2.

Not sure how to solve stat 1 but I'm guessing the answer is D. Since I'm getting different values of x from stat 1 and stat 2 and since I don't see how my value of x from stat 2 satisfies the equation in the stem, I'm probably very wrong.

stat 1:
x^1/4 = 9
x^1/2 = 81 or x = 81^2
Suff.

stat 2:
(x^2 + 6x + 3)/2 = -2
x = -3; Suff.
