Area to be painted = # of stripes * Length of stripes * width of stripes = 2 * 5280 m * (x/12) Sq. Feet

2p sq. feet - 3 Gallon

1 sq. feet - 3/2p Gallon

For [2 * 5280 m * (x/12)] Sq. Feet - [2 * 5280 m * (x/12) Sq. Feet ] * [3/2p] = 1320xm/p Gallon

Explanation:

3 gallons of paint are required for area = 2P square feet
⇒ 1 square feet of area will require = 3/2P gallons of paint

Area of 1 strip = x inches × m miles
= (x/12) feet × (5280m) feet
= (5280mx/12) square feet

Area of 2 strips = (2 × 5280mx/12) square feet
= (5280mx/6) square feet
= 880mx square feet

1 square feet of area requires paint = 3/2P gallons
⇒ 880mx sq. feet requires = (3/2P) × (880mx) gallons
= 1320mx/P gallons
