I just passed my GMAT exam for the first time a few days ago and received my official score report.
Total: 680, V39 (88%), Q44 (44%), IR 5(47%), AWA 3
While most of the scores are pretty satisfactory, the AWA is giving me some doubts.
I am not a native english speaker and my undergraduate studies were conducted in French, so I have very little experience in english critical writing.
The gmat is not mandatory for the programs I am applying to ( Yonsei global MBA & sungkyunkwan full-time MBA).
I have also contacted the admissions office of university regarding the GMAT score range they consider as a solid to support my application and their answer was : “We do not have a minimum requirement for GMAT. So, if you submit the GMAT score, we will provide you the extra point.”
Should I retake the exam or try to compensate with a good statement of purpose and a study plan that includes working on my written communication skills?

Hi Meriem01,
If you have not already done so, then you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better).
