It is a blind interview i.e. the interviewer will only have your resume for reference. He/she will not be aware of the other aspects of your application such as GMAT score or essays. The interview is very conversational and revolves around getting to know the applicant better. The interview is conducted by second-year students and the questions are very generic. The interviewer will conduct the interview in a very warm and friendly environment. Nothing to worry and go ahead and enjoy the experience.

Just finished my Zoom (virtual) interview. It lasted about 40 minutes, was with a 2nd year student. The interview was very relaxed and in some way informal. It was mainly about getting to know me, my career and leadership experiences. I got asked the typical “why an MBA now? and why Rice?” I enjoyed it, the interviewer was very friendly.

I had an interview with an adcom. It was a very nice conversation and she gave me so much comfort by keeping her smile throughout the whole time. I listed down so much as I could remember, some of the questions though were very specific to my experiences so I took them out. 1. Tell me your goals 2. Why this goal 3. Why mba 4. Why cornell 5. What are my hobbies - what i enjoy doing 6. How did i come up with my own business as I am currently having a full time job but also running my own company 7. Where do i want to work in the future/during intersjip : industry and geo 8. If she can list 3 things to give to ad com, what are they 9. What i think are the factors that made me accomplish so much so far 10. What other schools that im applying to 11. What will you contribute to Cornell And then if I had any question.

30 minute interview with Adcom. Interviewer had not seen my application but had reviewed my resume and made notes/highlighted points of note. 1. Employment Gaps 2. Describe current role (what does your day look like) 3. Goal post graduation 4. Backup Plan 5. Why Tepper Behavioral 1. Time I had to compromise to achieve goal, what I did and what was outcome 2. Time I had to take an action I knew would be unpopular 3. Time my lack of knowledge or experience presented a difficulty, how I handled it 4. Time I used my industry expertise to help others avoid a mistake 5. Time I made an effort to understand someone from a different culture, impact it had on me Any questions for the interviewer. Atmosphere was extremely warm, friendly and I was made to feel at ease.

My interview was around 40 minutes. Standard interview questions. A few behavioural questions and cross questions. My interviewer also asked me what good places she could visit in the city and shared some anecdotes. She also told me a little about her family and kids and her mentor. She was an AdCom member so obviously she was trained in the process. She was absolutely lovely and I’m sure was the same to everyone else she interviewed as well. With such interviews it’s difficult to gauge whether you really did well or was it just the interviewer.

Mendoza interview was one of the best interview experiences I ever had. Interviewer was very friendly. She started with very basic questions. One thing I noticed that, Mendoza was very interested to know your personality and fit. Unlike other schools, it was less interested about the long term/short term goals. The fun part of the interview was definitely the case interview or guesstimation interview . for example, "how many ping pong ball fit in a 747 airplane?" Though you don't have to find out the exact value, they are very interested to learn your though process and you ability to think on you feet. Good luck and enjoy the process.

Hi. Just had an interview. Very much fun and conversational. Typical questions: - Why ND? - Why MBA at this stage in career? - What are your focus areas / concentrations? - What will you do post MBA? Where - Geographically? - Any supervisor that you look up to and emulate? Why? - How do you manage teams and what are you challenges in that? - A small Case Scenario - Was given a scenario and 5 minutes to think - questions were what factors you would consider and what questions would you ask. It was interesting - specifically Case Scenario.

Some of my questions were: 1, Walk me through your professional work after graduation 2, Why MBA RIGHT NOW? 3, Why MBA from Notre Dame? 4, Short-term goals or plan B if you cannot earn a working visa? 5, Tell me about a time when you had a tough/ difficult discussion? 6, Tell me about a time when you handled criticism? 7, What are your short-term goals, professionally or personally, and what steps have you taken to achieve them? 8, Fun fact about you? 9, Other hobby? Things you do in your free time? 10, Guesstimate question: How many backpacks sold in Vietnam in 2017? So, all in all a good experience and the interviewer was nice and supportive.

Very conversational actually. I felt she was letting me steer the course of the interview. She would probe and nudge in specific directions as the interview went along. The main themes revolved around 1) Why do you need another MBA? 2) Initiatives you took at work that were met with resistance 3) What do you like about working in groups? What types of people irritate you? What kind of a leader are you? What kind of a team will you make up? How will you manage a lazy team member 4) Case question (Logistics related)

Hi, I just got admission confirmation yesterday.Had a long 1.5 hrs interview on 16th. I was taken out of ED wait list. So all the usual questions were asked and for the Case study, the question was regarding "What factors should an executive manager of a well known International Hotel chain consider while justifying expansion into LATAM countries, for instance say Venuzuela". I was given 5 minutes to jot down factors and then I attempted to explain them by relating to common consumer expectations/experiences I have heard of or had personally experienced. Relating or effectively transitioning from one factor to another when explaining them( was asked not to order them priority wise) can prove to be helpful. I thought the interviewer completely approved of this technique and enjoyed our conversation. In general it was a very pleasurable and casual style of conversation which is far far away from interrogative style of interviewing. Yes it was blind Interview. Make sure you emphasize on your commitment to join Notre Dame and make it heard.I almost explicitly mentioned the same thrice. Read up about the curriculum and justify how it is a great fit for you during interview. Good Luck to you, fellow aspirant.

Here I'll attempt to share my application process for all those needing assistance/advice. To get to an interview, you should have at least a 3.4 final 2 year GPA. If not, your application should have something extraordinary (awesome rec letters, crazy personal statements/application essay and video answers, or unique work/LIFE experiences. I really believe this admissions team puts ample emphasis on life experience. Now I'll share my stats, application, interview stuff... I had a final 2 year GPA of about 3.6. My 2 recommendation letters were from a professor and a TA. I had the option of choosing 2 professors but had a very good relationship with my TA whom held very high opinions of me and I knew would sincerely write the best recommendation for me. No work experience. Some volunteer experience. Nothing worthwhile. Personal essays...poured my life experience into them...all the challenges and obstacles...accomplishments and even failures. Now the interview... It lasted about 40 mins. By far the best interview I've ever had and ever given because the interviewer was so damn genuine and down to earth. She asked about how the program can help me, how I manage stress, what kind of a person am I, how do I work in groups, how do I handle stress, why my grades have such a big difference between the first 2 and last 2 years. Sounds like a lot...but it was actually a lot of fun because it was really laid back and in between questions we would just have small talk about our families, York University ongoings (I went there), and sharing laughs. The best advice I can give is to loosen your ties and be yourselves, you'll be fine.

This interview is for ESADE MSc Business Analytics Interview. The interview was pretty conversational, nothing too difficult or technical. - It was mostly about my CV, - why this particular course, - why ESADE, - what are my goals after graduating and - how ESADE can help me. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. I don't how it went, because the kind of questions that were asked don't really have a right or wrong answer, so I don't know what to expect.

Hello Everyone! I would like to share a bit about my interview with Trinity College, which took place in December 2018. I found in a web site a sample of MBA Interview Questions (https://www.accepted.com/mba/questions) that I took to prepare myself for my interview. The questions from my interview pretty much match with this sample and I would highly recommend, if you are starting from the scratch, that you start your preparation using these sample as a base. > Discuss your career progression. > Give examples of how you have demonstrated leadership inside and outside the work environment. > What do you want to do (in regard to business function, industry, location)? > Why the MBA? Why now? > Describe an ethical dilemma faced at work? > Describe your career aspirations? > What would you do if not accepted? > What are your long- and short-term goals? Why? > Why are you applying to business school? > Why does this school appeal to you? > What is an activity you are involved in? Why is it important to you? > Talk about experiences you have had at work. > Why are you interested in a general MBA program? > Why did you choose your undergraduate major? > Discuss yourself. > What contributions would you make to a group? > Name three words or phrases to describe yourself to others. > What is most frustrating at work? > How would co-workers describe you? > Describe a typical work day. > Have you worked in a team environment? What were your contributions to the effort? > Discuss any experience you have had abroad. > How did you choose your job after college? > What do you do to relieve stress? > It's two years after graduation, what three words would your team members use to describe you? > Describe a situation where you brought an idea forward, and it failed. > How do you define success? > What would you do if a team member wasn't pulling his own weight? > Is there anything you would like to ask me/us? In my preparation, I wrote down in a paper the answers of these questions and I trained passing trough my notes. For the interview, I wrote the main points and separated in groups categories that it would help me to answer similar kind of questions. As I live in Brazil, my interview was made through a phone call to my cell phone with a MBA Associate Director. I asked to change for a Skype call, but I believe this is their standard procedure. The advantage was having my notes in front of me without anyone seeing ;) My phone rang just on the time scheduled. The director introduce herself and asked me if I was available to take the call and then we start. First question: Can you talk about your graduation background and work experience? - I tried to pass trough all my education and career experiences, trying to highlights some accomplishment that it would help to show my qualities and why they should accept me. (The notes really helped me here! because I had everything prepared in a time -line focusing on the most important events and work projects). Second question: Why MBA? Why now? and Why Trinity? - Here I explained my personal and professional reasons for taking a MBA and why now. I introduced also my expectations such as what I want to bring for a businesses merged with the MBA. - I had the advantage that had visit Trinity MBA in June of last year and I could know more about the program and I used this information to justify why Triniy (1st Ranking in Ireland; Reputation; 3 real projects during the MBA; plus 2 yrs work visa from Irish government). Third question (surprising for me): How do you intend to financial your MBA? - This question was my Achilles heel! My GMAT score was 570, so I am not yet eligible for a scholarship and this is a limitation for me. I have savings but I explained I plan to take the GMAT test again in the beginning of 2019 to try the scholarship. Last question: She asked if I would like to know anything from them. - I had some question about the program, specially about the international residence week. The interview was short but, as I was admitted, it was enough for showing why they should accept me. Preparation is important to focus in the answer that it would help them to see why you should be part of Trinity MBA. My saga continues! I still need to score 700 in GMAT to be eligible for a scholarship and join 2019 Trinity MBA class!! I hope this can help the future interviews. Good luck for all! and for me ;)
