I was interviewed by an Admissions representative. She is very friendly and I felt like Foster genuinely wants to know my interests and how I can excel in MBA program. Overall, it was partly behavioural and partly expressing what kind of a person you are Advice: Be genuine and reflect on how you can gain most out of Foster MBA program. It's a small school and has close ties with businesses based in Seattle. So you may have to research a bit on that front. Visiting the school and talking to few current students or alumni would definitely help. Good Luck !

I had my interview via Skype with Fisher Business School (Ohio State University) during March 2014. The whole process was very well managed. The interview scheduling process was smooth and there were multiple interview slots available to interview within a few days of getting the interview confirmation. A lady from Admissions Committee was there to interview and she was extremely friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. We chatted for about 10 minutes after she was done asking me questions. I had a great time overall. I believe it was my second best interview of the season. She made sure I understood that the culture and community were crucial aspects at Fisher. She was very friendly, asked soft and easy behavioral questions. There were no specific surprises during the interview. Great experience overall from the welcome to interview.

Experience: It was a great experience for me. I got the opportunity to elaborate myself who I am how could I contribute to new class and how I developed my leadership skills while working at several companies. The interview was more conversational than a formal interview is. It created the sound environment to position myself than getting nervous. I graduated from CBS in 2015. Suggestions: 1) Try to be yourself 2) Explain yourself who you are and how could you contribute to the new class. 3) Focus on your strength and give proper examples. 4) Whatever answers you will give must be supported by nice examples. Examples should be in SCAR form ( S=Situation, C= Challenges, A= Action & R=Results). It means that answers should be structured, so it would be easier for interviewers to understand you, especially if you are a non-native speaker. 5) Research lot about the School website, talk with old students. It could help you to show your motivation. Having strong motivation could be often a deciding factor for CBS MBA apart from your professional experience. 6) Try to show your leadership skills through examples. & 7) Research on two X-Factors of CBS that "Leadership Discovery Process" and Integrated Strategy Process". For this, you may talk with few alumni. If you also explain well while giving the interview. Your chances will be high to get in. All The Best Guys! Hope it would help you!

Hi everyone, I had my interview with Dana Daniele a couple of days back. She is very cool and kept the interview as friendly as possible (We both smiled multiple times as we moved ahead with the interview ;-)). It was for around 45 minutes. Started with "Walk me through your resume", followed by a few traditional questions: Why MBA? Why Carlson? Why now? Strengths and weaknesses Then it went on some specific aspects of my profile. First and foremost thing is that you should know what all you have mentioned about self in your SOP, resume/CV, optional essay. By knowing I mean, they want to see if you actually are the person whom you have projected as in your profile and essays. So, be prepared with good number of situations where in you have proved yourself, As a leader As a team member As an eligible candidate for a B school etc,. Don't miss out on any single quality or word you have mentioned in the essays and resume. Expect one question, where they would give you a scenario and you will be asked to face it your way. Be very clear and specific on your post MBA goals, both short term and long term. Finally I was asked to talk for 2 minutes on any of my favorite topics. Once it is done, be prepared with some set of questions for interviewer. Altogether it was a great experience for me, this being my first admission interview. Bit tensed about result though. Should wait till Jan 15th. Be confident and you will do it. All the best :-)

Sell a product/idea of your choice in 2 minutes ( A situation was given) Time for my questions In the end, she told that the results will be announced by Jan 15 2017. Good luck to everyone !!

Just got done with my Skype Interview with Jen Connors (Assistant Director). It lasted for 30 mins exact and below questions were asked : 1) Walk through your resume 2) Why MBA? Why now? 3) Post-MBA career goals 4) Why Questrom ? This was the only question where my response was followed by an open interaction (regarding the school ) 5) Tell me about an unexpected leadership experience 6) Tell me about about a time when you were innovative at workplace Overall a good experience. As others have also noted they do not integrate your answers into the interview process. But few observations I made : A) The questions you ask the interviewer are very important. They look forward to smart questions which show how interested you genuinely are in the program. My 3 questions were met with a lot of enthusiasm and highly interactive responses. B) Response to Why Questrom is the one they look forward to the most.

My very first interview invite is quite memorable. I submitted my application the night before the deadline day and in less than 24 hours I have already received an interview invite. I then scheduled my Skype interview 3 days after. I had a very pleasant interview/conversation with Jen from the adcom. The questions are quite typical: - Walk me through your resume? - Why MBA and why BU? - Unexpected leadership experience? - Decided on something but the result wasn't as expected? I think Jen is very friendly and nice and the interview doesn't feel too formal. I felt at ease the whole time. I have no complaints at all.

Round 3 applicant. Just got done with a F2F interview with Ms. Brittany Craig at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It went pretty well and was the most conversational interview I've ever attended. It was very different from the rest of the interviews I've given, in the sense that it felt very much like a free flowing conversation centred around my resume. There were no behavioural questions and there was no "Walk me through..." question. I'm listing the questions that I remember. *Brittany asked me to talk about my undergraduate school and my experience. *She then moved onto the first company I worked for and asked me what was the best project I worked in and what it taught me. *Then she asked me if I had a time machine, what is one thing I would go back and tell myself at the start of my working career *She asked me what are few qualities in me that, I think, my recommenders would have written about. *My ST and LT goals. *Then we moved onto my current work ex and there were a few back and forth questions related to that (since I run a business she wanted to understand how I would manage it once I go for my MBA, how many people report to me, who has been a great influence on my working style etc.) *Why Kenan Flagler? *Questions for her. She was on a tight schedule so each interview was strictly 30 mins long. Mine was 25 mins long with the last 5 mins reserved for my questions. It was a really good experience for me and if you know what you're about it should be easy. Hoping to crack this great school.

I just had my Skype interview (it was blind with an adcom member). It lasted for 37 mins (these interviews are intended to last around 30 mins, so I must have really talked for too long or gotten into too much detail. I had about 5 mins to ask questions). Questions were similar to the ones posted above. The only thing is that I didnt walk her through my resume, she guided me towards the areas/bullet points where she wanted to have a clarification or a more thorough answer. My overall impression was neutral. They want to know the applicant personally and make sure that s/he would be a fit, but I don't think there was a specially strong connection between my interviewer and me. Anyways, I think the interview went well, although I might have extended too much on certain answers and there were a couple of short communication glitches (another reason why it lasted longer than usual). BTW, as many people mentioned last year, they did explain the admissions process (there is 1 adcom member that reviews the online application, your interviewer assesses the interview and then a third adcom member reviews the whole application -online+interview-). Best of luck to the rest of you with your applications/interviews!

Done with my interview with Emily on the 9th. Background: I am a re-applicant and was admitted in Round 1 last year and I had my interview with her last year too The interview was a general conversation with regular questions: 1. Why MBA, why now? 2. Why Tepper? 3. Leadership situation? Your style of leadership 4. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning. 5. Difficult situation at work? 6. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning. 7. Cultural awareness and questions about working in different cultures? 8. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning. 9. Unpopular decision? What would like to take back from that decision? 10. A situation when you had lack on information? What did you do what did you learn? 11. Situation when you had to deal with different teams? What did you do what did you learn 12. Questions about my short-term goal? 13. Plan B if I do not get recruited in the company I want? 14. Questions about what has changed from last year? 15. Questions about my start-up? 16. Any questions to ask? I think these were the major questions that were asked. Did not look these many while i was answering them :D Make sure you have 4 - 5 situations ready to use in various scenarios. You can use one situation in multiple scenarios though. Treat it like a conversation and you will do well.

There were parts of the interview that were conversational, however it seemed very structured and targeted. I don't know if that was just my particular interviewers style or if I just really screwed it up. The interviewer was a second year student and he started by introducing a little about himself and what he had from the admissions committee. It appeared that he only had my resume and a few specific questions that he needed to ask. Anyways here are some of the questions that were asked: -Walk me through your resume -Why an MBA? -Why Johnson? -Describe a time that you disagreed with your boss -Describe a time you encountered conflict within a team, how did you deal with it? -How would you describe your leadership style? -How will you contribute to the Johnson community? -What makes your candidacy unique? In the end the interview was just over 40min long. He had set a timer to make sure there would be time at the end for me to ask some questions.

Its appropriate that I post my experience since others have posted theirs. Indian. Bangalore. Alum Interview. ex-Mckinsey. One of the most intelligent guys I have come across in my life. Mine started with tell me about yourself. By the second sentence we started meandering into other topics like politics, business, political science, technology and some amount of B school folklore. By the time we came back to the original thread, an hour had passed. After that he spoke about his Darden experience. He ended the interview with "You have a lot of insights". Really jovial guy. One of those genuinely good fellows who will make you feel good about yourself after coming across them and extremely knowledgeable. Really speaks volumes about the Darden community. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I recently had an interview with an alumni interviewer - Very fantastic conversation. I felt like I was able to showcase my background sufficiently, and demonstrate my critical thinking skills. Questions to prep for: - Tell me about your background. - Why MBA, why Darden, why now? - What have you done to find out more about Darden? - What do you think about... / Why did you decide to do...? (Got 2-3 questions like this on current affairs, my background, application process) - How would you be involved at Darden? - What do you consider your greatest strength, and your greatest weakness? - What are your interests?

Had my interview as well. I think I did just ok, but as alefal said, it's just one part of the holistic evaluation process. Would have liked to crushed every single question, but I guess it's a learning for other interviews. My interviewer asked me questions for only half an hour and then we transitioned to her experience at LBS. She was really excited to talk about her experience and almost seemed like she made up her mind to spend 1.5 hour to give me advice as opposed to interview me. Extremely friendly and gave me some pretty valuable advice. How is everyone spending the next 3.5 weeks to keep their mind off of the decision?

Just had my interview. I think it went very well. Admissions passed him very clear instructions on how to proceed with the interview, with specific questions and what to do. The mini-case was also provided by adcom. At one point I got the impression that the interview was bounded to those questions and that he could not avoid or change his interview path, even though at some moments, you could see that he was making deep-dive questions in order to better assess me. The mini-case is very straightforward and specially for those who have at some point in time prepared for consulting interviews, it will come naturally. One advice I would give is to ask questions about London and the alum experience in LBS. He was clearly eager to share his experiences in LBS and wanted any opportunity to remember his two years there.

Just had my interview, which was with an alumni who was a partner at a PE firm and had a very different background to mine. It went for 1.5 hours. He was very nice, but I'm not sure how well I did to be honest - it was a bit hard to read how well it was going. It started off with the usual walk me through CV/why an MBA/why LBS and also some questions about the career choices I made. He then focused quite a bit on leadership and teamwork experiences. He also asked quite a few questions on what international business experience I had as he said that this didn't come through very clearly on my CV. He also asked what my leadership development goals were. I found the presentation part a bit of a challenge because there were 2 parts to it. It was a case about leading change management - managing restructuring and the fact that people were not happy about it. I was asked to present a) how I would approach this with my team and how much I would share my personal feelings b) Pick one of 3 questions and also talk about that - I picked one that said to describe how to overcome resistance to change. I didn't feel like I had a good conclusion to round off the presentation because the presentation was in 2 parts though I tried to relate them, but the introduction and the points in the middle were fine. The third part of the interview was where I got to ask questions and he gave me a lot of advice on what I should do to prep and what electives I should take. He also advised that to get the most out of career services, you needed to try and fit within the mould and that you would struggle if they couldn't put you in a box, which happened with him. He also said that if I got admitted, to get in touch with him and he would provide me with prep resources for finance given my lack of finance knowledge, and resources for consulting since that was what I wanted to move into, which was really helpful. I'm really hoping I get in! He did say being from New Zealand was a bit of a novelty at LBS so I'm counting on that working in my favour :)
