Q4: Tell me about your daily life at your work place!

I just completed my Admissions interview for the Full-Time MBA intake for Fall'24. My interviewer was Samuel Golub, a second-year student at McDonough pursuing a Finance concentration. It was pretty much standard, with some cross-questioning based on my response, and it went on for about 30 minutes. Below questions were asked -
1. TMAY / Walk me through your Resume. There was a small counter-question about one of the personal interest things I had mentioned.
2. What are your immediate short-term goals and your long-term goals? Also, talk a bit about your Plan B in case Plan A does not work out.
3. Why McDonough?
4. McDonough is big on Collaboration and Diversity. Share your experiences or hiccups around both. Then, there was a counter-question on the 'cultural and geographical shock' I had mentioned, asking how I changed my strategy or thoughts after that experience.
5. McDonough's MBA requires strong quantitative capabilities. Do you have a background and experience utilizing quantitative skills, or how do you plan on improving if not?
6. TMAT when you put aside your personal goals or benefits to work for a group or an initiative. What was the outcome, and how did you feel about it?
7. If offered admission to all the schools you have applied to, how will you choose which one to go to?
8. Any question for me?

Not able to answer.

I asked One question - one related to one of the centre and how can i contribute if selected. They answered comprehensively.
Since i was 1st candidate to go for interview but my interview lasted for about 20 minutes. It was just the discussion, no personal questions, no HR questions & not a stress interview at all. Very conversational.

Someone from the Adcom interviewed me. She said she is specifically associated with Full Time MBA only. (Don't know why she said that)
1) Started with Why MBA and Why Kenan Flagler? (Told answer was well thought out)
2) Post this ALL questions were based on my Values, Kenan Flagler's Values, Leadership traits.
3) What are your values? Describe 2 instances of this value you demonstrated recently. (I had prepared for only one instance so the second instance I quoted was not convincing)
4) How would you motivate people not contributing in your team?
5) What makes you a collaborative leader (had used this term in previous answer).
6) asked any questions, I asked one question but she avoided answering it/deflected it.
Overall 30 mins, there were no interruptions but seemed to ask lot of behavioral instances or demonstrated values in current job (I don't remember 1-2 of them).

My advice for IIM-C would be to go through current affairs in detail(especially business ones related to your industry) .I heard from from some candidates that lot of questions on current affairs related to politics were also asked. And of course, you need to know about your industry and work-ex thoroughly
