Thanks Bunuel for the question :)

We have :

Work = a production lot = 1

Time to complete the job: 3 hours = 3 x 60= 180 mins.

=> 4 machines work at a same rate: 1/180

Let x the number of machine that we need to complete the job in 30 mins.

=> 4 machines - 1/180

=> x machines - 1/30

=> x = (4x180)/(30x1)= 720/30= 24 machines.

4 machines takes 3 hrs.

Then 12 machines will be needed to fill a production in 1 hr.

Now we want to fill the production in 30 mins.

So, we need 12*2 = 24 machines .

B is the answer.

1 machine takes 4 * 3 * 60 = 720 mins
so machines required to get work in 30 mins
720/30 = 24 IMO B
