Hi Shoxx2017,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?

Goals:
3) What is your goal score?
4) What is your exact Official Test Date?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hey Rich, :)

thank you for the quick reply. Here are my answers to your questions:

1) How long have you studied?
I have been studying for 4 weeks now.

2) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
I did only one CAT totally cold and unprepared and scored something like 25Q/24V. But as written before, I think it's not representative because I was not focused and had plenty of time left on both sections.

3) What is your goal score?
600+. 630-650 would be the ultimate goal. No need for 700 or something.

4) What is your exact Official Test Date?
19 October 2017

5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
February 2018

6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
Top BS in Germany like Mannheim or WHU

Best regards and thank you in advance!

Hi Shoxx2017,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so since you've been studying for just 4 weeks, you should not expect to have mastered any of the concepts just yet. By extension, you might need to consider pushing back your Test Date so that you have the necessary time to properly train to hit your score goal.

That having been said, since it's been over a month since you took that initial practice CAT, you should plan to take a new one soon (so that we can measure your progress so far). You should take that CA in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.
