Hi shnaidu

The promotion from the post of an analyst to the associate level within your limited work experience showcases the quality contribution you have done at work. The academic knowledge built from six sigma certification and other MOOC courses showcases your learnability skills which is highly valued by ISB. With good extra curriculars and above average academic % and GRE score, you can make a strong application for PGP. Feel free to register for profile evaluation by our inhouse specialist to discuss applying in R1 or R2.

Hi SARS879,

You have a very good profile and if you were waitlisted by ISB, they must have liked your candidature.

Which round did you apply in last time ?

To know more about interview preparation ,you can take a look at this video in which ex-admissions officers talks about how to prepare for PGP admission interview : https://youtu.be/rCCUp3DhKA0

HiSARS879,

That maybe the reason why you had got waitlisted the last time. Even candidates with good profiles may get waitlisted in round 3 due to the limited availability of seats.

Hello SARS879

Interestingly, you haven't mentioned your goals. This will be critical to know where you might have gone wrong (apart from the bad timing of applying in R3).
In other areas too, you haven't touched upon any qualitative aspect- Work ex does not talk about career progression and achievements (I'm sure you know how many IT applicants apply to ISB, so what makes you different?)
Same applies to extracurricular activities.
No career goals as I've mentioned above.
Not focusing on such details might have been a major reason as the only objective measurable aspects (acads + GRE) is your strongest suite going by the information shared.

You may want to read here on what factors work in a profile and here to add to your research on career goals.

Hello staltclyde

That's the shortest profile details I've seen :-D
GMAT is good no doubt, CA background helps. Other than that nothing much to go by- No career progress, no achievements at work or in extracurriculars, no career goals. It is qualitative things like these which make candidates stand out. Hope you are focusing on these things in the application.

You may want to read here on what factors work in a profile and here to add to your research on career goals.

Seems a nice profile. Although more than a profile a clear sense of goals should be present. Although it's clear that you want to explore operations... But it has lot of flavors ... Ecommerce, fleet etc. What is your forte? Have you talked to alums for the same? It shall help you get enormous data points to crack the interview - this is something which will enable you too develop a clear thought process and design a plan b approach.

Hope the suggestion helps

Hello abhisg1

All the main elements of the profile check the box- Work ex (strong suite with good potential for storytelling), GMAT (around par, no reason rejection/selection purely based on score, but not a deal breaker either), Extracurricular (a few are interesting, school/univeristy activities might not add much weight), Career Goals (clear and organic).
Your only focus has to be on tying up the past (experience), present (why need of an MBA now) and future (fit with PGP and why the current goals can not be achieved without an MBA).
