Hi
WrAe,
I agree with
PV95. However, plenty of people get accepted to LBS with a score below 700. It all depends on your background/nationality (over-represented vs. under-represented) and the strength of your application.
At first sight, female / architect / Middle East doesn't sound like an over-represented background, therefore a 680 GMAT score could perfectly be enough to be accepted in R1.
That being said, if you have the bandwidth and believe that a 700+ is perfectly achievable in the next few months, by all means, retake the GMAT and apply in R2 with a higher score. R1 and R2 behave very similarly when it comes to admissions.
Another option would be to apply in R1 with your current 680 score, and then, a few weeks after submission, retake the GMAT and inform LBS about your new (and higher) score. If you do this 1 or 2 weeks before interview decisions are out (in this case, 1 or 2 weeks before October 12th), LBS will most likely consider your new score.
I hope this helps.
Feel free to email me your CV at
alex@arleeconsulting.com for an evaluation of your profile and a more accurate assessment of your chances with a 680 score in R1.
Warm regards
Alex
