not sure i follow....is that feb last year (2014)? or just an incorrect title but reflecting 1 person who changed their status on this forum. anyway, from current forum convos, it seems about 4-5 invites went out...so probs about 10-15 as someone guess-timated earlier, taking into account that not all invitees are on this forum....so it feels about right.

You're right. I am sorry, I don't know how that data point was picked up.
On that note, please update your profile if you got an interview invite!

nah no biggy, i think its probs reflecting current ppl that changed status. im still refreshing my emails every 2 mins lol despite the fact that it appears, from current posts, that interviews are released in the early AM Palo Alto time.

Likewise! The pain begins. I'm waiting for Oceania to get their invites so I can stop waiting.

I don't think they send invites out based on geographical region - for final admit calls yes (Mr Bolton follows the sun!) but interview invites happen randomly so it may be a long wait for us all :-(

Anyone from Europe heard anything?
And do you know if they also send emails saying you're not getting an invite, or do we have to wait until the 17th to find out...?

It's possible that they literally randomize which applications they see and reply to first. It can't be based on whether you submitted before the deadline, because they allowed changes up until the actual submission date. It's clearly not by geography. Alphabetical would be too easy to figure out. There might be a correlation to industry, but it would likely be random within that group. I'm going with randomized.

Wait until 17th if you don't get an invite until then.
I'm from Europe and nothing as yet.

It is 100% based on industry. They say as much.

They do an initial sort based on industry and go from there.

If it's random within an industry, then the date they send an invite to interview should be completely random as well assuming there are "specialists" for each industry.

As hard as it is to NOT be obsessed about this until you know one way or the other, I will repeat what I said earlier in this thread: I've had clients in the past who were sent their interview invite the very last day of GSB's stated range. And those people went on to be accepted. So it ain't over 'til it's over, as the saying goes.

To my knowledge there really isn't any rhyme nor reason to how/when the invites are sent out. I know it sucks to be in suspense like this!

Good luck!

Does anyone know the frequency GSB releases invites to interview? I had my personal email up all day today and jumped every time my inbox said 1 Unread. I obviously can't do that for another month :) Do they release weekly? Daily? Whenever they please?

Thanks for clarifying - that probably means I have to wait for a looooong time...
