Someone I know said they send interviewer info separately following the invite (1-3 days) and once they connect you, it needs to be diarised within 10 days.

On October 20 ale1teixeira posted something saying that 2 friends from Brazil got invites. Both MBB consulting.

What source of info do you think they use to define industry?
I am a MBB consultant from South America, but I am currently doing a secondment in a Food Company in Europe.
Do you think they are considering my profile as a consultant or someone from Food industry?

In the "work Experience Section" I included the name of my current company and the function I am working in.
However, they would know I worked in consulting as this is included in my past experience.

They have a specific question (as we discussed a week ago in this forum): 'What industry do you work in? And position function (current)' Is what they would use to split up applications. So what did you elect to place yourself in? Current is the determinant here...while they will eventually see past experience and positions, current is the driver for which bucket we go in. So what did you select? Food or consulting? That is the answer for which bucket you go in...

Hi there, US-based re-applicant here (interviewed/WL/dinged last year). I was a consultant, but moved into industry already. I didn't put consulting in the "current industry" field nor list it as a short term post MBA goal (duh. 8-) ), but I received the invite on the 2nd day last year...

My point is, it's really hard to tell. Good luck!

Oh wow good luck!!! What did you do this year to improve your application? Did you get in anywhere else last year to dismiss doubts? I read a lot about reapplication strategy in that if anyone reapplies, the school might think 'oh they didn't get in anywhere...' And so it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. 2 years of waiting is a long time so kudos to you!!!

Is your strategy diff this year? You changed to industry...was that your post MBA goal? If so, did you already successfully achieve it?

So you wouldn't believe what happened with me...

For the last 14 days my email has not been working, some problem with my hosting provider.

I just changed all my Application email to my Gmail one. I checked my application online and it just says 'Under Review'

All those who have been interviewed, does it say anything on your application portal ?

I am an intl candidate so hoping nothing has gone out.

Don't worry! Once they send an interview email it will automatically change to 'invited to interview'. Until then it is 'in review'
