Calling all Stanford Applicants (2016 Intake) Class of 2018!!

Anyone from Private Equity / Venture Capital heard anything?

Sorry for the tardy response my friend. ;p Some quick responses to your questions:

1. I think my profile improved vs. last year, both professionally and personally. I didn't do anything specific for b sch app - things happen as a result of me just doing what I do, really.
2. Only applied to HBS and GSB last year - didn't get in. It was a "testing the water" round.
3. I don't have a strategy - for me it's about telling the right story. With the extra year, I have now developed fresh perspectives on life and work, and that could be helpful.
4. I'm returning to current industry post MBA as a sponsored candidate. Btw, I already worked in an industry role prior to applying last year - apologies for the miscommunication.
5. RE your PM, I can't say for now since I need to complete campus visits first.

Well...I think https://blog.clearadmit.com/livewire/ is a good indicator since last week when they came out we saw some updates...but again those are the only resources we have... We really should have a site that aggregates all the data
