So if you want to go to a "good" MBA program, it is almost guaranteed it will be in a big city. Sure St. Louis is known for being sketch, but if you go to NYC, Boston, Chicago, DC area, the crime issues there are not necessarily any better than what people are reporting from St. Louis.
Just my two cents, there is always trade off. And the good thing with St. Louis is that the rent is relatively cheaper, so it will be easier to afford housing in a nicer neighbourhood. Imagine you were going to NYU or Columbia, and the only nice to live in area is probably upper Manhattan, anything else (Brooklyn, Bronx...etc) are probably much worse than St. Louis on average.
Thank you. Still thinking hard about it! I was searching on gmatclub forum and quite surprised that no one has asked about this issue before.
Anw I disagree that the crime rates of the places you mentioned (including Brooklyn, Bronx) on average are worse than St Louis'
